Giri Devanur established Gandhi City with one profound thought behind it and that was to bring this SEZ Company right up to the frontiers of the knowledge economy. Giri Devanur also wanted Gandhi City to be a company that complements other such important centres in Karnataka and elsewhere in India.
Research Triangle Park in North Carolina, USA, took a lot of interest in Gandhi City as they knew that it was under proper management, motivation and leadership of Giri Devanur. For Giri Devanur, this was not only a remarkable achievement in itself but getting RTP, North Carolina to forge a strong partnership with Gandhi City for further development and marketing was an ever bigger one.
Stanford Research Park, USA is one such research park that was a role model and Giri Devanur achieved his aim of modeling Gandhi City at par with Stanford. Giri Devanur through Gandhi City wanted to bring about substantial change in the field of entrepreneurship, innovation and turning abstract ideas into world class products and services.
